.evil.vile.live.

if given a choice, i would draw a villain every time.
there just wasn't all that much you could do with heroes. they came with a set of traditional standards: square jaw, overdeveloped calves, perfect teeth. they stood half a foot taller than your average man. they were anatomical marvels, intricate displays of musculature. they sported ridiculous knee-high boots that no one without superhuman strength would be caught dead wearing.

on the other hand, your average bad guy might have a face shaped like an onion, an anvil, a pancake. his eyes could bulge out or recess in the folds of his skin. his physique might be meaty or cadaverous, furry or rubberized, or covered with lizard scales. he could speak in lighting, throw fire, swallow mountains. a villain let your creativity out of its cage.

the problem was, you couldn't have one without the other. there couldn't be a bad guy unless there was a good guy to create the standard. and there couldn't be a good guy until a bad guy showed up just how far off the path he might stray.

i like the word evil. scramble it a little, and you get vile and live. good, on the other hand, is just a command to go do. but it could also be an anagram to O God

today i have learn that despite our everyday effort to stay on the right path, and keep up with the standards of righteousness, vile villains still come in many forms and ways to bring us down. evil. it lives. it breeds. and it is well and very much alive. all we can do is go do the things we need to. and pray to God, to give us strength to fight those evils. we just need to find the hero within us and hold on to our superpower. iman. patience. and the faith that good always prevails over evil.

(?)

A woman is at the funeral of her mother. There, she meets a man she doesn't know and has never met, who she thinks is her dream partner. But because of the circumstances, she forgets to ask for his number, and she cant find him afterward. A few days later, she kills her own sister.

Why?

24 hours to uncertainty (or destruction)

Alhamdulillah. i had a beautiful day today. good food, great company :) but i dont know for sure whether tomorrow and the days after will be as beautiful. hari ini berbuka agak jauh. otw there the traffic was so bad it made us wonder why on earth the normally fast moving road sangat sesak. only later we realized rupanya ada perhimpunan anjuran perikatan pembangkang di stadium Kelana Jaya. baru teringat esok merupakan hari yang bakal meniggalkan kesan mendalam dan perubahan signifikan dalam pemerintahan negara.
lately September 16th has been a crucial date for Malaysia. the well known issue is of course pertaining to the change of government. the other sub-issue brought up was a proposal to change the independance date from August 31st to September 16th on the ground that the current date excludes Sabah and Sarawak. kenapa setelah sekian lama baru isu ini diutarakan pun aku tak tahu. after 50 years, this country is facing a huge possibility of seeing the prevailing government being replaced by fresh faces. one is known as the face of reformation in this land. but the others, mostly, are new with zero experience as the government. personally i like changes. specifically positives ones. but the question is, will this change bring positive outcome? i am not judging. no one knows for sure what will happen after tomorrow. as much as i am disappointed with the current government for some questionable actions, disfunctional policies and corruption cases that has somehow become a chronic cancer within that institution, i am not afraid to express my fear and doubt towards the new government that is about to be formed, in case the change of goverment succeed tomorrow. bukannya apa. terlalu besar kekangan di pihak kerajaan. namun, terlalu banyak juga ketidakpastian di barisan pembangkang. kabinet bayangannya juga macam tak berapa nak ada. nak memerintah negara bukannya mudah. ini bukan kes tukar-tukar or rearrangement of tempat duduk dalam class. ini kes pertukaran tampuk pemerintahan sebuah negara. we are putting the nation's fate at stake. bersediakah kita mempertaruhkan 51 tahun kemerdekaan kerana sebahagian besar kita enggan mangaku salah dan mengalah. bermimpi itu tidak salah sama sekali namun biarlah realistik. takut-takut nanti sekadar menganga berangan-angan akhirnya yang dikejar tak dapat yang dikendong pula berciciran.
amidst all this debate about the change of goverment, we forgot one thing. at the moment the nation is split into two between the current government and the coalition of opposition parties. whereas at this very same moment, what we really need to do is to unite as a nation. whether you like it or not, face it. we are heading towards economic recession. even Britain and New Zealand are. for the past recent years, Malaysia's annual economic growth is only averagely 5% which is relatively low compared to our economic growth 10 years ago. 2020 is just 12 years away. if this is the speed we are currently moving at, something drastic needs to be done to push the nation forward.

16/9: our version of 11/9?

patience please

"O you who believe! seek assistance through patience and prayer; surely Allah is with the patient."
[Al-Baqarah: 153]

"And We will most certainly try you with somewhat of fear and hunger and loss of property and lives and fruits; and give good news to the patient. Who, when a misfortune befalls them, say: Surely we are Allah's and to Him we shall surely return. Those are they on whom are blessings and mercy from their Lord, and those are the followers of the right course."

[Al-Baqarah: 155-157]

in memories, Farah Fatin (14.05.88-03.09.08)

i heard a beep. opened my eyes. read all the text messages sent to me. and stopped breathing for a few moment which felt like forever.

today i was struck by a news that not only shove me out of my sleep. this news had also waken up all of my senses and a lot of realization.

today, i lost a friend. a friend that i have shared 5 years of boarding school life. she had always been a sweet girl. the one who was always laughing. the one that is known as a very good friend especially to her close ones. but today, she was defeated by a very rare disease known as pemphigus vulgaris.

in the light of the recent lost of a dear comrade that shocked us all, let us all together pray for our late beloved Paah.

may Allah bless her soul and may she rest in peace amongst the mukmineen. ameen~

hearthiest condolences to arwah's family.

"On no soul doth Allah place a burden greater than it can bear."
[ Al-Baqarah: 286 ]

it is very hard to see such a young sweet and vibrant friend go.. but in a way, we should be grateful that God does not prolong her sickness. at least her sufferings ended in a holy month like Ramadhan.

Al-Fatihah

to all comrades 0105, take care of yourselves, your iman, and your responsibilities.

have a blessed Ramadhan

Assalamualaikum
