hard work pays :)

Some might already know about this. But I'm quite sure most doesn't even know the existence of Myranesque :D But never mind that. I'm feeling chatty today so beware of a long babbling post.

The headline:
'Handmade Goodies'. yes. handmade goodies made by my hands! :D
ok lame gillaa weyy!

The story behind this article:
A few months back, I started sewing out of boredom. I have been madly in love with handcraft since the day I learnt to hold a pair of scissors and cut out Mak Tok's dresses to make clothes for my Barbie. Yes, aku dulu terlebih creative. in a destructive way ;p

As I grew up I learnt to make more handcrafts. Paper arts, knitting, cross-stitch yadi yadaa. A few years back Mum taught me how to use the sewing machine. So I started multiplying the size of my projects from little dresses to pencil cases to tote bags and it got bigger and bigger. BPE girls back in school would remember well the dorm curtain innit? :)

Then, pernah suatu ketika dahulu, saya sangat broke. Saya makan cheese biscuits and cheese spread yang tersimpan dalam cabinet bilik saya for brunch and late dinner. Nak jimat punya pasal, perlu creative combine meals :D owh owh. jangan bersimpati. Ini adalah akibat pengurusan wang yang tidak cekap ;p So yo! Say it out loud! Padan muka gua! :D

It was at that time, that it got to me, I need a plan. A bail out plan that's bigger than Obama's! (okay ini exaggerate gills). I asked my self what kind of life I want to live. What kind of job I'd want to enslave myself to and actually enjoy doing it. Despite doing LLB, I've always known that I won't practice law. Give me 10 years to finish that scholarship contract. Then I'll do something on my own. And it definitely has to be something I'm passionate about.

But I don't want to wait. Not another day, not another decade. Personally I believe 30 is the age to start enjoying the fruits that we sow, not the age to start seeding. Life is short. I want to start early. So I am starting now. Slowly. Step by step. But with a never ending marathon of hard work and patience. Yes. Patience. The most essential virtue one needs to succeed.

So here I am,
setting up the foundation of my dream to spend life enslaving myself to a career I'm in love with :)

At first it all started as a holiday project. I made a few bags and cards as gifts. Then I received unexpected demand. Alhamdulillah, from just a hobby, Myranesque managed to become a label on its own that's so far has gained its own fans :) To all of you who have always been there behind me, THANK YOU VERY VERY VERY MUCH!!! Your prayers and support keep me going :)

Conclusion:
This piece of newspaper cutting is just the beginning. It is not a privilege. It is a motivation to keep up, a challenge to step up, and a responsibility to fly further up!
